The "Trauma Buster Technique" is the new generation in the treatment of trauma, acute stress and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

What is Trauma Buster Technique ?

TBT is a new technique of multisensory neurostimulation. It combines elements of tapping acupressure and NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming). TBT is not a therapy and does not claim to replace it !

In a TBT session Trauma is not interpreted or analyzed or psychologized. This is less emotionally stressful and therefore suitable for people who find it challenging to be in touch with their emotions.

TBT is an excellent self-help technique and a valuable adjunct in therapeutic practice.

 

Who developed TBT ?

Trauma Buster Technique was developed by the EFT and NLP Master Rehana Webster in New Zealand and Australia and over the past ten years  She has had geat success working with traumatized adults and children, refugees, military personnel and prisoners.

When is TBT typically used ?

Using TBT for remembered  traumas,eg acute stress and shock, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic pain and other emotional stress. - Trauma symptoms.

  • The types of shock at TBT :
  • Purely auditory: Receiving shocking news.
  • Purely visual: Witnessing something shocking.
  • Acoustical-visual: Having experienced or observed a shocking situation, in which both what was seen and heard were traumatizing.
  • Kinesthetic and olfactory shock: Memory of an unpleasant touch and smell can be treated with TBT.
What happens in a TBT treatment ?

The TBT process treats the key shock of a remembered stressful experience. This changes the emotional and physical experience of this memory. The event loses its influence on the present and is integrated into our history as aclosed event.
The additional tapping of the acupuncture points lowers the stress hormone cortisol and leads to a relaxation reaction that is physically perceptible.

The special feature of the Trauma Buster Technique
  • Retraumatisation risk is very low for clients / patients due to the gentle, low-impacting nature of the TBT process.
  • In the TBT process it is not necessary to re-explore the emotions connected with the trauma. This requires little stabilizing preparatory work.
  • TBT is a relatively fast process. Many shock traumas can be healed in one session.
  • The effect is immediately noticeable and has a lasting effect.
  • TBT can be applied to any stressful memory that contains a key moment of shock - no matter how long ago the trauma was experienced.
  •  A TBT session usually does not need a post-processing or follow-up session.
  • The TBT process, if understood, can be done in your own language.
  • TBT is suitable for adults and children of all religious and cultural backgrounds.
  • The TBT process is clearly structured and thus easy to learn.
  • TBT supports the treatment success of other therapies such as physiotherapy / rehab in case of an occupational accident. TBT is best used prior to medical follow-up.
  • TBT is a useful measure to bridge the waiting time for a therapy session if, for example, a PTSD has been diagnosed.
